HVAC Service Tech/Combustion Service

Yorkaire, Inc. has an immediate need for a self-driven, customer-oriented service technician.  Applicant must have knowledge and skills on the following:

*HVAC service and electrical controls

*Oven and boiler burners and controls

We service industrial and commercial HVAC systems along with industrial process burners, boilers and burn off ovens.  Training is available and will be provided for electrical burners and controls depending on experience level and for continued education.  Technician must possess good work ethics and communication skills, as well willing to work periodic overtime to meet customer needs.  Salary starts at $25.00/hr and can be higher based on experience.  We offer an excellent benefit program – health and dental program, matching 401k program after one year of service, short term disability, vacations and holidays and profit sharing opportunity after one year of service. Project Engineer

Yorkaire, Inc. is a York, PA based mechanical contractor that has been around since 1955 and concentrates our business primarily in the South Central PA area.  Yorkaire, Inc. is looking for an accountable project engineer to be responsible for engineering and technical disciplines of our projects.  You will design, draft and execute ventilation and ductwork projects to our fabrication shop.  Responsibilities include:

  • Select and size dust collectors with support from our vendor(s)
  • Design, size and drafting of ductwork for shop fabrication
  • Knowledge to develop exhaust hood ventilation projects, including capture velocities for proper collection
  • Select and size general exhaust ventilation duct, fans and louvers.  Evaluate plant conditions and calculate air changes per hour to determine airflow rates
  • Select proper construction of ductwork (light gauge, welded, spiral, etc.) and determine proper velocities
  • Prepare shop drawings for fabrication
  • Work periodically with Project Managers to execute projects
  • Knowledge of AutoCad, MS Office, Word & Excel
